The iconic Great North Run is one of the world's most popular half marathons. Nearly 60,000 runners will take to the streets of Newcastle for the 2026 event, and you could be one of them. You'll start in Town Moor park and pass into the heart of Newcastle, over the Tyne Bridge, and through Gateshead. Finally, you'll reach South Shields and join the famous finish line party!
Whether it's your first half marathon or you're going for a personal record, the supportive crowd and friendly atmosphere will inspire you all the way to the finish line.

Entry options
Charity place entry
Secure your place in the Great North Run for Team Parkinson's.
Registration is £40 and minimum sponsorship is £350.
Own place entry
If you already have your own place with the race organisers for the 2026 Great North Run, you can still run for Team Parkinson's. Our suggested fundraising target is £150.
