I don’t know Matthew, Tom or Daragh, nor am I from the area. However, as the partner of a serving WYP police sergeant, Tom, Matt and their families have been in my thoughts every single day since this tragedy. I cannot begin to imagine the heartache you must all be feeling. Daragh, taking on this challenge in honour of your best friend—particularly while everything must still be so raw—is an incredible tribute. Continuing his legacy in this way is truly inspirational. You should be so proud of yourself and, although I didn’t know him, I’m sure your best friend would be incredibly proud of you too. 💕 I wish I could donate more, but I wanted to donate what I can as a show of support for the officers, their families and Daragh.

Great cause & thank you to Matty for raising awareness of this! I know only too well the effects of Parkinson’s. My grandmother suffered with it for several years, & now my dad has been living with Parkinson’s since the age of 60. Fifteen years on, his health has deteriorated rapidly & It’s heartbreaking to see. Parkinson’s may also have a genetic link within our family, which makes this cause even more personal to me. To anyone raising money for Parkinson’s research, thank you. Every penny raised helps bring this cruel disease further into the public eye & supports vital research into understanding Parkinson’s & improving treatments, which my dad has spent countless hours looking into, hopefully, one day, they’ll find a cure. There is still no cure for Parkinson’s, so raising awareness & supporting research is incredibly important. ❤️
