Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
On the 20th September I will be taking part in a sponsored Parkinson’s walk.
I’m walking to help fund specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it.
This is a cause that has become very close to my heart because my friend Claire’s brother Gary who is only my age has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. I have known Gary for years and have seen 1st hand how much the condition has affected him both physically and mentally. It’s heartbreaking to see someone so young have their life changed in this way.
I am doing this walk to help raise awareness and hopefully raise some much needed funds to support people living with Parkinson’s and research into the condition.
Any donation no matter how small would mean so much.
