Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m taking part in Run 50/50 to fundraise for Parkinson's UK.
As many of you know, this is a cause close to our hearts, Dad has been battling for many years now and mum faithfully caring for him the entire time.
Parkinson's UK helps to support both patients and carers, please help us, help them, to continue their amazing work.
Neither of us are runners, this is actually a challenge for us both - although I am a fitness nerd, I have the additional challenge of spina bifida and achondroplastic stature which makes it more difficult - I am looking to push further to try for 2 miles per day.
For my sister Justine, Running is an asthma trigger for me so even a mile of running will push her, alongside being a working parent, time is also a sticking point.
We would like to aim high and try our best to raise £50 a day during the event. It's a REALLY big ask, and our biggest fundraising total yet.
Please dig deep, every penny towards our goal is so appreciated. With your support (and a touch of caffeine) we can do this! ❤️
