About this event

Challenge yourself and take on the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon in May 2027. You even have an opportunity to be part of history: the marathon is now the first African part of the Abbot World Marathon Majors.

This event isn’t only for elite marathon runners. With a beginner-friendly cut-off time of 6 hours 30 minutes, this fast and mostly flat route is great for people taking on their first marathon.

In 2027, join our team for the Cape Town Marathon and help us achieve our fundraising target of:

£20,000

£195 could fund a day's work for a research assistant preparing samples of brain tissue, helping find clues to the causes of Parkinson’s.

£540 could fund a home visit from one of our Parkinson’s local advisers, helping a person living with Parkinson’s navigate the complex challenges of social care, benefits and employment issues.

£2,250 could fund 2 weeks of work for a speech and language therapist, helping people living with Parkinson’s gain confidence in being heard and understood.
