About this event

Challenge yourself and take on the UK's second largest marathon. Starting out near Old Trafford, the closed road route will take you through the city centre and Greater Manchester before reaching the finish line at the historic University of Manchester.

The flat and fast route with just a few gentle hills is perfect for beginners taking on their first marathon or experienced runners aiming for a new personal best. With live music and supporters lining the course to cheer you on, you'll be supported all the way to the finish line.

Your fundraising page will be automatically set up when you register. Just give it a personal touch and share it! All fundraising from our Manchester Marathon team will go towards the Nurse Appeal, which is helping to make sure people with Parkinson's have the specialist care they deserve.

Last year, the Manchester Marathon team raised an incredible:

£78,000

£60 could fund a home visit from one of our local advisers, helping someone to navigate the complex challenges of living Parkinson's UK.

£500 could fund the equipment and local pitch hire to set up a walking football group, supporting people to get active.

£2,700 could provide specialist nursing care for two weeks, for people with no other local support.
