I’m a final-year PhD student researching early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, and I’m thrilled to be taking part in the Great North Run on 7 September 2025—my first-ever run!  I promise to cross that finish line (even if I have to crawl half way through).  So If you’ve ever wanted to see a sleep-deprived PhD student attempt long-distance running for a great cause, now’s your chance!.  I’m running to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK, All the money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK nurses, to provide much-needed advice, support and information for people who are living with the condition.
