My reason for this crazy journey

I think we can all agree that life can be cruel on times can’t it. Crypt start to a post I know but hear me out. My uncle, the man who sat with me for hours and hours on end when I was a lot younger watching Jungle book ( on repeat ), the man who tolerated my constant nagging to be allowed to walk his Labrador when I clearly wasn’t able too and dealt with my complaining about walking home from school ( the car was always around the corner - the walk wasn’t even 10 minutes ) well he’s been fighting his own battle, one none of us can help him with, one that will eventually win - Parkinson’s. Watching him try his hardest to stay with us as long as he can has made me sign up for my own challenge- one not as hard as his own but one that will test everything I have. I have signed up to complete Cardiff Half Marathon 2027 and run it for Parkinson’s.
