Why we are running!

Tuesday 29th Apr
Imagine your life slowly being taken away from you.
Your movement deteriorates. You struggle to eat, to communicate, to show emotion. This is what living with Parkinson’s is like — and right now, there is no cure.

As a family, we’ve been living with close family members who have Parkinson’s for the last decade; Rupert Legge and Amanda Abrahams. Both were very active until late in life and both were active and amazing athletes in their sport; Amanda was an outstanding equestrian, a beautiful rider who was looked up to by those who followed her on horseback. Rupert was a superb, natural athlete in all sports, but none more so than the 110 metre hurdles in which he represented Great Britain. Both lives, and those of our families have been hugely affected by this terrible disease.

That’s why this May, we — Posie and Rupert — are running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.

Every donation helps fund better care, drive research, and bring us closer to the cure that so many families are desperately hoping for.

Your support means the world to us — thank you so much.
