Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Great North Run 2027 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.
I was diagnosed with PD in 2023. Not going to lie it’s a bit crap but feeling sorry for yourself makes no difference. In 2026 my daughter (Emma Cook) surprised me by running GNR and raised around (£4,500 inc gift aid). That and the words from colleagues have inspired and motivated me to test myself and frankly try to get on with life regardless of PD
