About this event

The iconic Great North Run is one of the world's most popular half marathons. Over 60,000 runners will take to the streets of Newcastle for the 2027 event, and you could be one of them. You'll start in Town Moor park and pass into the heart of Newcastle, over the Tyne Bridge, and through Gateshead. Finally, you'll reach South Shields and join the famous finish line party!

Whether it's your first half marathon or you're going for a personal record, the supportive crowd and friendly atmosphere will inspire you all the way to the finish line.

Your fundraising page will be automatically set up when you register. Just give it a personal touch and share it! All fundraising from our Great North Run team will help fund vital research and support services that help everyone with Parkinson's and those who love and care for them.

In 2027, join our team for the Great North Run and help us achieve our fundraising target of:

£225,000

£195 could fund a day's work for a research assistant preparing samples of brain tissue, helping find clues to the causes of Parkinson’s.

£500 could fund the equipment and local pitch hire to set up a walking football group, supporting people with Parkinson's to get active.

£2,250 could fund 2 weeks of work for a speech and language therapist, helping people living with Parkinson’s gain confidence in being heard and understood.
