Sunday 13th Jul
5days have passed since I Launched this page with Parkinson UK and I’m astounded by the number of contributors.
I am being supported on this venture by 3 other golfing pals. I wouldn’t be able to take part without their help. We are planning to tackle the challenge on the 2nd and 3rd Sept.. I’ll post updates on this page

My Parkinson’s

Tuesday 8th Jul
     I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in
2012 whilst still working. I carried on working part time until 2016 when I retired.
My consultant Professor David Burn gave me the diagnosis, he strongly advised me that exercise was the best method for keeping the disease at bay.
Along with the medication prescribed I took up golf. Without doubt taking his advice has allowed me to manage Parkinson’s and I won’t let it beat me.
