Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Great North Run 2027 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.
I am running for Parkinson’s as my Granny was diagnosed with Atypical Parkinsonism in her late 60s. Although I was a lot younger, I can remember how significantly her life was impacted as she suffered with a severe tremor and her health declined. She was an incredible woman from a small town in rural Ireland who pushed through and even after her passing, is still an inspiration to many including myself. I want to run and raise money for the millions of people who have been diagnosed with this disease to help continue the life-changing research to find a cure.
