Walk for Parkinson's: Scotland 2026

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I’m walking to help fund specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it.

Thousands of us are uniting to help people with Parkinson’s, and those who love and care for them, get access to the support they need.

Grandpa Harry

Monday 25th May

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement and can bring challenges like tremors, stiffness, and balance issues. Being there for him means more than just helping with physical tasks—it’s about offering emotional support, patience, and understanding as he navigates each day.

One of the most important things I’ve learned is the value of staying informed. Understanding Parkinson’s helps me find ways to make life easier and more comfortable for him. Whether it’s encouraging gentle exercise, helping with medication routines, or simply spending quality time together, every effort counts.

Above all, supporting my grandpa means cherishing the moments we share and reminding him that he’s not alone in this journey. It’s about love, resilience, and hope, and it’s a privilege to be walking for Parkinsons to support the cause.
