Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK?
In July 2026, I sadly lost my beloved grandad after a long period of illness. He lived with both Parkinson’s and Dementia, and watching someone you love face these conditions was incredibly difficult for our family.
I have decided to take on this challenge and run in his memory, whilst raising money for Parkinson’s UK.
Although Dementia is something that many people are familiar with, I feel that Parkinson’s is often less recognised and understood. I wanted to use this opportunity to raise awareness and support a charity that works t to improve the lives of people living with Parkinson’s and their families.
My grandad meant so much to me and I hope that by taking part, I can do something positive in his memory while helping to support others who are affected by Parkinson’s.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to me and my family.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me in remembering my grandad❤️
