Walk for Parkinson's: Hatfield House 2025

I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK in memory of my lovely Dad

In August it will be a year since my wonderful dad died. Parkinson’s was a huge part of his daily life for the last decade or so of his life. It robbed him of so many of the hobbies and interests that he loved. The symptoms and medications stopped him from seeing his friends, enjoying DIY, cooking, gardening, editing fantastic pictures or videos on his computer and more. He suffered from anxiety and depression. Despite it all, he was always my dad, cheeky and sarcastic throughout! Always able to make a joke with every nurse or doctor, even at the worst of times. I am very blessed to have been so close with him, and will never regret loving him so deep, even though it means losing him hurts so deep now.

I am walking for Parkinson’s UK because when we were in hospital once we had access to a Parkinson’s nurse called Jack and he was truly amazing. Dad thought the absolute world of him. Jack knew so much about the condition and he educated us. I wish everyone with Parkinson’s could meet a nurse like that when they are diagnosed so they don’t feel so frightened about their futures. Please help to fund it.
