For my dad, for 153,000 others & hope for a future without Parkinson’s

As many of you know, in 2021 my brilliant dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He’s one of around 153,000 people in the UK living with this condition.
Parkinson’s happens when nerve cells in the brain stop producing enough dopamine, which affects muscle movement and coordination. It’s the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world, and it impacts everyone differently, with symptoms ranging in type and severity.
Parkinson’s UK does amazing work to support those affected and fund vital research, but they need all the help they can get to move us closer to a cure.
So, in October 2024, I decided to sign up for the Cardiff Half Marathon, with the aim of raising money for this incredible charity, despite not having run properly in YEARS.
Two weeks ago, I completed my first Parkrun and officially began training with 23 weeks to go until race day on 5th October 2025, uploading my progress on Strava:
