Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I’m taking part in Run 50/50 to help Parkinson's UK support the Parkinson's community.

There’s no cure for Parkinson’s. Yet.

I'm uniting with thousands of others, all passionate about improving life for people with Parkinson’s.

Well day 23 and I have hit the 50 mile target I cannot thank all those who have sponsored me enough I’m even managing to run a mile 3 times per week Thank you all again x

Why we are doing this…

Saturday 15th Feb
2025 has started with a bang for us
Dave has been feeling unwell for a few months … he eventually went to the doctors … he was referred to a neurologist … who diagnosed Parkinson’s Disease (akinetic rigid syndrome) … he has started medication already to ease the symptoms
The journey has been a rollercoaster to say the least for us as a family
Therefore a few of our close family have signed up to complete 50 miles in 50 days each to try and raise money to give a little back to help the research
