Why I am raising money for Parkinson’s!

My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2022. 
This first symptom my dad noticed was a tremor in his hand which didn’t go away, and as with anyone battling this disease further symptoms have come in many many different forms affecting his life constantly day and night.  
Despite this, my dad continues to battle with incredible strength and positivity that we are so proud of.  

Anyone who knows me will know that I’m not afraid to say my dad is my hero, you never stop being a parent and well you never stop being a son, learning from my dads abilities to be so courageous in the face of this sometimes very demoralizing and depressing disease has taught me lessons I will use for the rest of my life. 

Nobody knows what is around the corner in this life, you must enjoy everything good that comes. 
“Do not just wait for the sunshine, learn to dance in the rain”

The last few years have been a huge learning curve for our family to try to understand Parkinson’s as best as we can.  
The difficult truth is, we do not know the causes of Parkinson’s and there is no cure.  More research and funding is needed to help understand this disease so I’m excited to do my small bit to help everyone suffering from Parkinsons
