Walk for Parkinson's: Battersea Park 2025

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Walking for a Cure: Anne’s Angels Take on Parkinson’s

This year, we’re lacing up our walking shoes with purpose — and with love. We’re Anne’s Angels, a team of family and friends walking side by side in honour of an incredible woman, mum, nan, sister and friend - Anne.

She’s our rock, our heart, and the reason we’re doing this walk. Her strength, warmth, and resilience in the face of Parkinson’s have inspired us every single day — and now, we’re walking for her and for everyone affected by this challenging condition.

Parkinson’s disease affects over 145,000 people in the UK, yet it remains misunderstood and underfunded. By taking part in this charity walk, we’re not just raising awareness — we’re raising vital funds to support research, treatment, and care.

Every step we take brings us closer to better support, better understanding, and ultimately, a cure.
