Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I’m taking part in Walk for Parkinson’s 100 Mile Challenge to help fund specialist care for people with Parkinson’s.

In 2017, my father Stephen was sadly diagnosed with Parkinsons disease.

He suffers from a multitude of different symptoms including:

Shakes and tremors

Night terrors/ hallucinations

Insomnia

Stiff joints

Bradykinesia

Forgetfulness

Difficulties swallowing/ talking

Fatigue.

There are over 40 symptoms of parkinsons that effect his every day life.

He's takes a WIDE array of different pills each day, all day

Uses an array of mobility aids.

Yet he still pushes through each and every day to fight. As he likes to say 'improvise, adapt and overcome'❤ he never complains (that much 😂) and he takes everyday in his stride.
