TCS London Marathon Saturday 2027

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Saturday 24 April and would really appreciate your support!

My Dad loved the outdoors. Rock climbing and hill walking in the Lake District, sailing on the South Coast and taking part in the Fastnet Race, abseiling and much more. He also loved watching sport including athletics and when i was little he'd sit me on his knee to watch important races! Dad was in his 80's when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's and passed away in 2019. I know he'd be very proud that Clover and I are running the London Marathon to raise money for Parkinson's UK and to help improve the life's of people living with Parkinson’s. I'm sure he'll be looking down and watching us and cheering us on.

We’re Parkinson’s UK. The charity that’s here to support every Parkinson’s journey, every step of the way. Wherever you’re from, whatever you need.

We don’t wait for change, we make it happen. We believe that together we’ll find a cure. But that’s not all we’re working for. We campaign for better health and care, fund research into groundbreaking new treatments, and run life-changing support services.

Families, volunteers, campaigners, fundraisers, scientists, health and care workers. We’re a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.
