I am fundraising for my Grandad who passed away sadly from Parkinson's Disease in February 2025.
My Grandad was one of the strongest people I’ve ever known. Losing him to Parkinson’s Disease in February 2025 was heartbreaking, and watching the condition slowly take away his independence is something I’ll never forget. Parkinson’s affects more than 10 million people worldwide and is the fastest‑growing neurological condition. There is still no cure — but research offers hope. That’s why I’ll be running the Cardiff Half Marathon in October 2026 for Parkinson’s UK. I’m doing this to honour my Grandad, to support families living with Parkinson’s today, and to help fund the breakthroughs of tomorrow.
