Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon 2027 for my Grandad. ❤️
My Grandad is living with Parkinson’s, a condition he faces and battles with day in, day out. Having a relative live with this disease is a reminder of just how much strength, courage and resilience it takes, not only for those diagnosed but also for their families and loved ones.
I’m running this half marathon for him, to show my love and support, and to help raise awareness and funds for everyone living with Parkinson’s. I’m also running in memory and in honour of all those who have sadly lost their lives to this cruel disease.
Every mile I run will have a purpose, and whenever it gets tough, I’ll remind myself why I started. My hope is that the money raised will help support those affected, fund vital research and bring us one step closer to a future without Parkinson’s.
