90 Miles for Dad – Walking for Parkinson’s UK

Thursday 14th Aug

On 15th August 2024, my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Less than three months later, on 3rd November, my world shattered when I found him at home after he had passed away.

Dad was my rock, my constant, my safe place in the storm. He had the best laugh, the warmest hugs, and the kindest heart. Losing him so soon after his diagnosis felt cruel beyond words. Parkinson’s stole the future we thought we had.

In his memory, I’m taking on Walkies for Parkinson’s UK — walking 90 miles alongside my two loyal companions, Loki and Thor. We’ll walk through rain, wind, and sunshine, because every step will be for him.

My goal is to raise £500 to help fund vital research, support those living with Parkinson’s, and bring hope to families like mine. Parkinson’s is the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world, and right now there’s no cure — but together, we can change that.
