Why we are fundraising for Parkinson's UK

We are doing The Great North Run and dedicating it firstly and foremost to Trevor’s Sister Angie Leslie who has recently been diagnosed with Parkinsons and is currently learning how to live with this condition … secondly it is in memory of Bob Leslie who sadly passed away at the end of 2025 … one of his charities at his funeral was for Parkinsons and so we wanted to mention him on here alongside Angie…. So dedicated to both Ang & Bob Leslie 

Lastly we are dedicating this to a friend of Julie’s … Doreen Higginson… who was Chairman of Parkinsons in her area and worked tirelessly for this charity.
