Day 4 - on a high
Over 5 miles walked today ... not in one stint but am pretty pleased with that. AND did 1hr 15m pilates class so all in all an active day. Leg still hurting but just took things a little slower.Day 3 - only limping a little....
Why we're fundraising for Parkinson's UK
We're taking part in Move for Nurses to help fund specialist care for people with Parkinson’s.
As some of you already know, Leslie was diagnosed with Parkinson's a couple of years ago. We are lucky to live in an area where there is a specialist neurologist, a Parkinson's nurse and also a Parkinson's physio but in other parts of the country there is a shortage of specialist staff so not everyone gets the full range of support they need.
Having recently taken attended a weekend for people with Parkinson's and their partners, where we took part in activities and talks that really helped us to understand what we can do to slow the progress of Leslie's condition, we wanted to take part in this challenge to raise money for more nurses to support other's with this life-changing condition. Will you help us reach our target?
