About this event
Take on the Northern Traverse for Parkinson's UK and challenge yourself while helping fund groundbreaking research and life-changing support services.
The 300km trek is split into three days, with aid stations along the route with water, food and tents for sleeping.
You'll follow Wainwright's famous Coast to Coast route across the width of England, starting from St Bees and finishing at Robin Hood's Bay. The route crosses through three National Parks, taking in some of England's most spectacular iconic mountains, valleys and moors.
If the challenge sounds fun but the full distance doesn't work for you, you can challenge yourself to take on a part of the route. Choose from Lakes Traverse, Dales Traverse or Moors Traverse.

Your fundraising page will be automatically set up when you register. Just give it a personal touch and share it! All fundraising from our Northern Traverse team will help fund vital research and support services for people with Parkinson's and those who love and care for them.
£195 could fund a research assistant for a day to prepare brain tissue samples, helping uncover clues about the causes of Parkinson’s.
£500 could fund the equipment and local pitch hire to set up a walking football group, supporting people to get active.
£2,250 could fund two weeks of work for a speech and language therapist, helping people living with Parkinson’s gain confidence in being heard and understood.
