About this event

This is a challenge for all ages, experience and fitness levels. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or weekend walker. Choose to camp over the weekend, take on 100km in one go, or 50km in one day.

Find out what inspires 3,000 people from around the world each year to follow in the footsteps of Romans, Vikings and mythical warriors in their quest to reach the ancient stone circle at Avebury.

Your fundraising page will be automatically set up when you register. Just give it a personal touch and share it! All fundraising from our Stones team will help fund vital research and support services that help everyone with Parkinson's and those who love and care for them.

In 2027, join our team for the Race to the Stones and help us achieve our fundraising target of:

£25,000

£190 could fund a day's work for a research assistant preparing samples of brain tissue, helping find clues to the causes of Parkinson’s.

£500 could fund the equipment and local pitch hire to set up a walking football group, supporting people to get active.

£2,500 could fund a Parkinson's specialist physiotherapist for 2 weeks, helping people with Parkinson's to keep active.

What's included:

a training programme for all abilities
fully signposted trails for navigation in all conditions
hot meals, showers, drinks and sports nutrition
a bag transport to the finish
a qualified medical team at all pit-stops and medical clinics at basecamp and finish points
a finisher’s medal
individual chip timing throughout the event.
