Walk for Parkinson's: Hatfield House 2025

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I’m walking to help fund specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it.

Thousands of us are uniting to help people with Parkinson’s, and those who love and care for them, get access to the support they need.

My diagnosis

Monday 16th Jun
After several visits to the doctor with a tremor on my left foot which was getting progressively worse I was finally given a Dat Scan in 2023 to rule out Parkinson’s. Unfortunately it only confirmed that I have in fact got the disease.
It wasn’t long after my diagnosis that my husband was told he had prostrate cancer as well as kidney cancer. I concentrated more on my husband and I put myself slightly on hold for a while. After the removal of his kidney and his cancer treatments he had just been given the all clear, thank god, so now it’s my turn to fight my condition and raise awareness to help others. Parkinson’s uk have been a godsend for me offering me help and advice.  To slow down the progress of Parkinson’s symptoms is exercise and medication. There is no cure. Please donate if you can but if you are unable to donate then please could you share. Forever grateful. Zoe xx

I have made a donation Zoe. I wish it could have been a larger amount. I have had friends and neighbours with this terrible disease. Take care.
