Why we are fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Parkinson’s is a complex brain condition that has no cure and gets worse over time. It has more than 40 symptoms, from tremor and pain to anxiety, and it’s on the rise. Someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s every 20 minutes in the UK today, and by 2050, the number of people living with Parkinson’s worldwide is expected to double to 25 million.
Parkinson’s is something that is particularly close to my heart, as my mum lives with the condition. I’ve seen first-hand the impact it can have, not just on the person diagnosed, but on their family and those around them.
That’s why me, Luke and Toby are taking on a half marathon to raise money for Parkinson’s UK. We want to help support people living with Parkinson’s and their families, while contributing towards research into better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Parkinson’s UK continue improving life for people living with Parkinson’s. Thank you so much for your support! ❤️
