Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m walking to help fund specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it.
But more importantly I am walking to support Julie and to remember Pete who was a stalwart of the community I grew up in. We enjoyed many hours at indoor cricket, involved with Scouts and on the River Medway in Gnat or Karken. Rolling our eyes at the next misadventure of the respective engines. This moved on to enjoying a Ricard or glass of red or a Chinese meal cook by himself
He helped me move house - TWICE!
He was a quiet man unassuming man who had a kind heart. It was horrible to witness his slow decline, a little worse at each meeting. But it was fun to see him around and about on his motorised scooter - he never seemed to be close to home.
