My Marathon Journey
In 2027, I’ll be taking on one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever set myself, running the London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK.
I’m running for a very personal reason. My dad has Parkinson’s, and my grandma also had the condition, so Parkinson’s has affected my family personally and is something that means a huge amount to me.
I’ve seen first-hand how Parkinson’s can affect not only the person living with it, but the people around them too. There is currently no cure, which is why supporting research, better treatments and the support available to families is so important.
I’m relatively new to running, so taking on 26.2 miles is going to be a huge challenge. I know there will be difficult days during training, but having such a personal reason behind it will keep me going.
I’m hoping to raise at least £2,300 for Parkinson’s UK, and every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference to people living with Parkinson’s and help fund vital research towards better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.I’m running this one for my dad, my grandma, and everyone affected by Parkinson’s. ❤️
Thank you so much for supporting me - it genuinely means a lot. 🏃♀️💙
