Parkinsons UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I'm taking part in Pedal Trossachs for Parkinson’s UK this August and would appreciate your support!
Please help by sponsoring my cycling challenge. All the money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK's work in support of their UK wide physical activity and exercise programmes with the aim of helping people with Parkinson's get active and stay active.
My updates

29th Ride for Parkinson’s
Tuesday 26th Aug Evening spin tonight and I’m not pleased to say I’m beginning to feel the benefits of my cycling over the last few weeks.
28th Ride for Parkinson’s UK, I think my prep is going well
Monday 25th Aug Goodness it was hot out there today and even the water in my water bottle was warm. This was the first time I took my Madoper during my ride as it’s time dependent.
Tonight’s ride
Thursday 21st Aug

26th ride
Thursday 21st Aug Could I be making progress? A couple of minutes faster tonight albeit I still find any climbs a challenge but that’s just a consequence of my PD.
Today’s ride
Sunday 17th Aug

Tonight’s bike ride
Tuesday 12th Aug A few more miles in the bag on what was a hot and muggy night, it’s sure hilly here in the Brontë countryside and the climbs are only getting moderately easier. Every mile I ride I think of all of you who have sponsored me, you’re my motivation Share
A few more miles
Sunday 10th Aug A few miles more today and I’m beginning to feel a little better on the bike. Hills are still a challenge but living where I do it’s difficult to avoid them. In the coming weeks I hope to get a few more rides in before Ride the Trossachs.
8 August a few more miles
Friday 8th Aug A few more miles in the bank today in preparation for the Trossachs, it was very windy and I took in a steep climb I’ve been avoiding and beat it. As a marker before PD the first mile used to take 8 minutes but today it took 11minutes 24seconds. Over the coming months it will be interesting to see how I progress Share
Another few miles under the belt
Saturday 2nd Aug Rode today with the intention of riding 25miles and it will certainly be a challenge for me in The Ride the Trossachs. Today’s ride saw me conquer several climbs but I had to stop a couple of times due to dystonia. I hope to get some more rides in before the Trossachs Share
