My updates

29th Ride for Parkinson’s

Tuesday 26th Aug
Evening spin tonight and I’m not pleased to say I’m beginning to feel the benefits of my cycling over the last few weeks.
It was a case of chasing the sun and had to get back before sun down but hope to get a couple more rides to in this week

28th Ride for Parkinson’s UK, I think my prep is going well

Monday 25th Aug
Goodness it was hot out there today and even the water in my water bottle was warm. This was the first time I took my Madoper during my ride as it’s time dependent.
I could feel yesterday’s effort in my legs today but I’m not too concerned as it’s to be a steady week ready for the 31st, it’s getting closer 😬

Tonight’s ride

Thursday 21st Aug
I can’t quite make out how to upload an image and written update hence my two posts

26th ride

Thursday 21st Aug
Could I be making progress? A couple of minutes faster tonight albeit I still find any climbs a challenge but that’s just a consequence of my PD.
I’m certainly looking forward to Ride the Trossachs and no doubt there will be the chance to get a few more miles in yet,,thank you

Today’s ride

Sunday 17th Aug
I was out again today to bag another 25miles in preparation for The Trossachs and the same as last time, it’s the last few miles that are the toughest but once again my sponsors are my motivation that keep me focused and determined to compete the event,,thank you

Tonight’s bike ride

Tuesday 12th Aug
A few more miles in the bag on what was a hot and muggy night, it’s sure hilly here in the Brontë countryside and the climbs are only getting moderately easier. Every mile I ride I think of all of you who have sponsored me, you’re my motivation

A few more miles

Sunday 10th Aug
A few miles more today and I’m beginning to feel a little better on the bike. Hills are still a challenge but living where I do it’s difficult to avoid them. In the coming weeks I hope to get a few more rides in before Ride the Trossachs.
Thank you for your continued support

8 August a few more miles

Friday 8th Aug
A few more miles in the bank today in preparation for the Trossachs, it was very windy and I took in a steep climb I’ve been avoiding and beat it. As a marker before PD the first mile used to take 8 minutes but today it took 11minutes 24seconds. Over the coming months it will be interesting to see how I progress

Another few miles under the belt

Saturday 2nd Aug
Rode today with the intention of riding 25miles and it will certainly be a challenge for me in The Ride the Trossachs. Today’s ride saw me conquer several climbs but I had to stop a couple of times due to dystonia. I hope to get some more rides in before the Trossachs

Ride the Trossachs training

Saturday 26th Jul
A few more miles today and I can’t lie I’m finding it tough, there’s a few weeks to go so hopefully it will be a little easier. Those of you that have kindly sponsored me I am very grateful and thanks again.

Thank you to my sponsors
