Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK.
We were so very proud of the way mom negotiated the last couple of years after her Parkinson’s diagnosis. With huge amounts of courage, her natural stubbornness, and a remarkable level of humour throughout, mom, with dad constantly by her side, traversed the unknown as a team. Mom was determined to keep a firm grasp on her independence, with dad encouraging and facilitating all the way through. Parkinson’s eventually developed into Parkinson’s dementia with a rapid decline over her last 3 months.
She passed away on 6th September 2026.
She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and we all miss her very much.
