For nanny💙
In May 2026, my friend and I, Maisy, are taking on the Hackney Half Marathon together – not just for the challenge, but for two causes that are incredibly close to our hearts.
I am running for Parkinson’s UK and Maisy is running for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND). These charities mean so much to not only us, but our families and many people around us, because both of our wonderful grandmas sadly passed away from these conditions.
Watching our grandmas live with MND and Parkinson’s was heart-breaking as these illnesses not only affect the people diagnosed, but also the families who love and care for them. Despite everything they went through, our grandmas showed incredible strength, love, and resilience – qualities that continue to inspire us every day.
By running the Hackney Half, we want to honour their memory and support the charities working tirelessly to improve lives, and quite honestly our grandmas wouldn’t believe we’re bloody doing it haha!!
Thank you so much for supporting us. It means the world to us, our families, and to everyone affected by these illnesses.
