Leeds Half Marathon for Parkinson's UK!
Hey! Thanks for taking the time to visit this page.
If you've known me well enough at any point in my life, I'm sure you'll have an idea of how much I'm absolutely bricking it to be taking part in a half marathon.
Neverthless, I've decided to give it my absolute best shot, while fundraising for a charity close to my heart.
Parkinson’s is a complex brain condition that has no cure and gets worse over time. It has more than 40 symptoms, from tremor and pain to anxiety - and it is on the rise. Someone is diagnosed every 20 minutes in the UK today. By 2050, the number of people with Parkinson’s worldwide will double to 25 million.
My Dad has Parkinson's, as did his father. I never had the chance to know my Grandpa, but I am proud to carry his name and will be thinking of him as I run the furthest I've ever attempted.
From searching for a cure and campaigning for better health and care, to funding research into groundbreaking new treatments and running life-changing support services. Parkinson's UK is driven by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s. I am beyond pleased to be fundraising for them.
Thank you to my sponsors
