TCS London Marathon Saturday 2027

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Saturday 24 April and would really appreciate your support!

We’re Parkinson’s UK. The charity that’s here to support every Parkinson’s journey, every step of the way. Wherever you’re from, whatever you need.

We don’t wait for change, we make it happen. We believe that together we’ll find a cure. But that’s not all we’re working for. We campaign for better health and care, fund research into groundbreaking new treatments, and run life-changing support services.

Families, volunteers, campaigners, fundraisers, scientists, health and care workers. We’re a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.

## Why I’m Running the 2027 London Marathon

Wednesday 19th Aug

I’m taking on the 2027 London Marathon in support of Parkinson’s UK—a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.

My grandad is currently living with Parkinson’s, and my step-grandad also lived with the condition before he passed away. I’ve seen the effect Parkinson’s can have, not only on the person diagnosed but also on everyone around them. That’s why I want every mile of this challenge to count.

My aim is to raise at least £2,300. Between now and race day, there will be early starts, hill repeats, long Sunday runs and probably another black toenail or two! However, remembering why I’m doing this will keep me moving when the training gets tough.

I’ll be sharing my progress here—including the good runs, the difficult ones and all the milestones along the way.

If you’re able to donate, however much, I would be incredibly grateful. If you can’t donate, simply sharing my page would also make a huge difference.

Thank you for supporting me and Parkinson’s UK. 💙
