Parkinson’s Walk- Thoresby Park 2025

Friday 2nd May
As some of you who know me may be aware I was diagnosed with Parkinsons in March 2023 but was told I had possibly had developed the symptoms 5 years earlier.The NHS are already doing a fantastic job at slowing the progress of my degenerative symptoms with medication and research into new treatments but are grossly underfunded achieving this like many other illnesses. My wife,Fiona and I have decided to do a charity walk to raise money for research into Parkinsons and so any donation no matter how small will be greatly appreciated towards help for not just myself and many existing sufferers with this illness but also the increasing number of those in the future We will be walking the 6.3 mile circuit at Thoresby Park in order to raise money from sponsors which will go directly into the Parkinson's fund.Of course 6.3 miles will seem very short to many people but can be exhausting to some Parkinson's sufferers.
