Running Endure24 Leeds
Monday 22nd JunIn 2024, mum was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, she had a feeling something wasn’t right and managed to get referred by her GP.
The team at Peterborough, assessed and confirmed diagnosis, and have been there to help managing day to day and put us in touch with Parkinson’s UK.
Like many families, we knew a little about Parkinson’s, but a diagnosis brings a whole new understanding of the challenges that people living with the condition face every day. While Mum continues to face those challenges with determination and positivity, I wanted to do something to support a cause that has come to mean much to our family.
That’s why I’m taking on Endure24 Leeds and raising money for Parkinson’s UK.
Endure24 is exactly what it sounds like: 24 hours of running, day and night, testing both physical and mental endurance. There will be tired legs, sore feet, tears, and moments when I question why I signed up.
However, those challenges are temporary, and they’ll remind me why I’m doing this.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how much, I’d be incredibly grateful. Your support will not only help Parkinson’s UK but will also give me an extra boost when the miles start to add up.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting Mum, and supporting everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
