Manchester Marathon 2027

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Running the Manchester Marathon is tough, but it’s nothing compared to the daily fight of living with Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s isn't just a tremor. It’s a relentless condition that slowly steals movement, independence, and basic daily tasks like holding a cup or walking smoothly.

Watching a parent—the person who cared for you your whole life—slowly lose control of their body is a unique heartbreak. You watch them fight frustrating physical barriers every day, and as a family, you feel completely helpless.

I'm taking on 26.2 miles to turn that helplessness into action.

Every step I take and every pound raised goes toward vital support for families and research for a cure. Parkinson's affects the whole family, and no one should face it alone.

If you can donate, even a small amount, it would mean the world to me and the families fighting this every day.
