Smiles and Miles

Walk for Parkinson's: Nottinghamshire 2026

Why we are fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Over 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Since then, I've learned that staying active is one of the most important ways I can help manage the condition.

Exercise has played a huge part in helping me stay strong, maintain my independence, and keep on top of the challenges that Parkinson's brings.

To support the work of Parkinson's UK, my daughter Jessi, and I have signed up to complete a 6-mile fundraising walk. While the distance will be a challenge, I feel determined and ready to take it on.

Parkinson’s is a condition that affects every part of daily life and brings challenges that many people never see.

Throughout my journey, I have experienced both difficult days and moments of determination, and I am grateful for the support of my family, friends, and organisations such as Parkinson's UK.

By donating, you'll be helping the charity continue its vital work and support those affected by this condition.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Thank you for supporting us and helping Parkinson's UK improve the lives of people living with Parkinson's.
