Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
It was about Covid time that I first noticed a slight tremor in my right hand
Five years later the left hand started to join in so my doctor referred me to a consultant who diagnosed, in July 2024, early stages Parkinson’s.
A programme of keeping fit activities was prescribed (along with minimum level of drugs). I have to exercise every day which, at times, I find quite challenging.
Support from NHS consultant, GP, physio, speech and general help from my Parkinson’s nurse has been first class.
I’m walking to help fund this specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it.
Thousands of us are uniting to help people with Parkinson’s, and those who love and care for them, to get access to the support they need.
