Why I'm fundraising for Parkinson's UK

A little over five years ago a person very close to our hearts was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Had we heard of it before? Yes. Did we truly understand what it was? No. 

You might have heard of the phrase “every day is a school day”, and for the past few years we have been learning more and more about Parkinson’s. So, what is it exactly?

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition which affects the brain.  We are here to raise awareness and funds to find a cure .

We want you to know something that Parkinson’s can never take away — your strength, your spirit, and the love that surrounds you.

We see the courage it takes for you to face each day. We see the determination in the small victories that others might not notice. And we want you to know how deeply proud we are of you.

This journey is not one you walk alone. On the hard days, we are here. On the strong days, we are cheering you on. In moments of frustration or fear, we are holding your hand — always.

Parkinson’s may challenge your body, but it will never define who you are. You are still you — resilient, kind, inspiring, and deeply loved.

We will take this one step at a time, together. And no matter what changes, one thing will never change: our love and commitment to you.
