50 Miles in 50 Days: Running for My Grandad and Parkinson’s
Sunday 18th JanI’m taking on a challenge that means more to me than any run I’ve done before: 50 miles in 50 days, all to raise money and awareness for Parkinson’s disease.
This isn’t about pace, distance records, or ticking something off a list. It’s about someone I love.
My grandad has Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s is a condition that slowly takes away things many of us take for granted—steady movement, balance, confidence, and independence. It affects not only the person diagnosed, but also their family, friends, and everyone around them. Watching someone you love live with Parkinson’s is incredibly hard. You see the daily challenges, the frustration, and the strength it takes just to keep going.
That’s why I wanted to do something that pushes me physically while supporting a cause that matters deeply to my family.
