Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I'm taking part in Walkies for Parkinson's with Luna and Bean! 🐾
Can you believe it was October 2024 when I first did this? Now, I am back at Southwater Country Park with my beautiful dogs to help raise funds for Parkinson’s UK, ensuring no one has to face this condition alone.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart. Having had many family members affected by Parkinson’s, I know firsthand how deeply it impacts lives. I want to raise vital awareness and fund the support that families so desperately need.
Join us for a walk! 🦮
Luna, Bean, and I would love some company! We are hosting walks over two weekends in October and invite anyone (with or without a dog) to join us:
  • Dates: 10th/11th October & 17th/18th October
  • Time: 10:30 am
  • Location: Southwater Country Park
  • Meeting Point: Outside the café
Thousands of us across the UK are uniting over different areas to make a difference. Whether you can donate to our page or join us for a stroll around the park, every bit of support helps provide care for people living with Parkinson’s and the loved ones who care for them.

My Mum is currently living with Parkinson’s disease; my Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Uncle also lived with the condition. Many people have no idea how much it affects every part of your life. They often only think about the tremor or shakes, but sadly, it is so much more than that.
Life is challenging in all sorts of ways, but we need to be kind to each other and support one another. We can all choose to help people each day, and my choice this October is to support those living with Parkinson’s disease while spending time with my gorgeous dogs. Walkies for Parkinson’s is a win-win!
I am doing it at Southwater Country Park.
