Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s at 41. I’m now 52, and while I’m still early in my journey, Parkinson’s has already changed a lot about how I live day to day.
It’s affected my ability to do the things I’ve always loved, like horse riding, long walks in nature, or jumping on a bike with my daughter. It’s also changed the rhythm of our family life, with my 14-year-old taking on more than most teenagers her age.
But I’m not giving up, far from it. I’m fundraising for the Walk for Parkinson’s because I believe in moving forward, raising awareness, and helping others like me get the support they need.
Parkinson’s is unpredictable, but there is strength in community, in care, and in action. If you’re able to donate, your support will help fund vital services that make a real difference in people’s lives, including mine.
Thank you very much.
