Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Sunday 25 April and would really appreciate your support!

Thank you for visiting my page. 

Back in April 2026 after watching the London marathon I applied for a ballot place along with over 1.3 million other people and after constantly checking my emails I got the news I had secured a place. 

Next year I will be taking part in the 2027 London marathon and will be running, walking or crawling through London on Sunday 25th April 2027. 

I was extremely lucky enough to get a ballot place which meant I didn’t need to do any fundraising to be able to compete. I thought though if I’m doing it I might as well try and raise a bit of cash! 

I have chosen to support Parkinson’s UK because this charity is very close to my heart. My Nan lived with Parkinson’s, as did Veritys grandad, along with several other people we know. Supporting this charity is a way of honouring their memory and helping make a difference for those affected by the condition. 

So, if you can spare a bit of change it would be very much appreciated to this worthy cause and will very much motivate me to get over the finish line!
