Walk for Parkinson's: Buckinghamshire 2026

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I’m walking to help fund specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it.

Thousands of us are uniting to help people with Parkinson’s, and those who love and care for them, get access to the support they need.

Parkinson's

Monday 30th Mar
I’m taking part in a charity walk to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s,  a cause that is deeply personal to me.

My dad was diagnosed in 2013, and over the years I’ve watched this disease slowly take pieces of him 😥 his speech, his walk, his confidence. The man who once lit up every room he walked into is gradually losing that spark.

Parkinson’s has already taken so much from our family. My father in law also lived with this disease, and although I didn’t see his journey myself, I’ve heard so much from my husband and his family about the man he was and how Parkinson’s affected him over the years. He sadly passed away in 2018..

This is why I’m walking.

I’m walking for my dad.I’m walking in memory of my father in law.I’m walking for every family who knows this pain.

Parkinson’s doesn’t just affect movement. It affects dignity, independence, and identity. I want this disease to be better understood, better recognised, and better treated.

If you’re able to support me — whether through a donation or simply by sharing this — it would mean so much.

Thank you ❤️
