Sally Richardson skydiving for Parkinson UK

Hello everyone on Sunday September 13, 2026 I will be taking part in a skydive at Langar airfield Nottingham for Parkinson’s UK.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2021 and since then have battled through every day trying to live my life as normally as possible.
There are approximately 41 symptoms linked with Parkinson’s disease of which no two people are the same and no two days are the same. it’s debilitating it’s tiring. It’s stressful. It’s annoying. It’s it’s it’s it’s it’s it’s
Never did I think that one day my finer motor skills would be affected! I can’t dress myself, I can’t put shoes on, I can’t cut, I can’t write and I can’t can’t can’t can’t can’t do a lot of things. But what I have learnt is that exercise is great for Parkinson’s, you have to keep on moving.
My attitude from the beginning is that you have to get on with things and that there are worse things that I could’ve been diagnosed with. I still work part time and I’m determined to keep going. If you know me, you know where I’m coming from and will understand how this has affected me.
My daughter Ruby ran the Shakespeare marathon earlier this year something which I could never do and in respect to her I have decided to challenge myself and take part in the skydive for ParkinsonUK.
